Going from Infertile to a Happy, Healthy Pregnancy
My pregnancy story is nothing short of amazing, and when I first became pregnant I was absolutely shocked. I thought, there's no way I could actually be pregnant...and if I am...it'll be short-lived. But, I was wrong. After months and months of expecting to see blood after I peed or feel that tell-tale cramping, I finally started to relax when none of that ever happened, and each Dr's appointment ended the same way; with my Dr. telling me everything looked great!
After a while I realized that I was actually going to have a baby. Somehow, I had become healthy enough to conceive and to have a healthy pregnancy. And, I wanted to make sure I stayed as healthy as possible throughout my pregnancy; from what I'm eating and daily activity to what I'm exposing myself to and what I'm putting on my skin and body. So, I dedicated a lot of my free time to caring for myself and my pregnancy.
Going from thinking I could never have a child of my own to having a successful pregnancy out of nowhere has been a major roller coaster ride. Adjusting to the idea that I'm going to become a mom VERY soon has been exciting, frightening, and emotional. There have been times where I've been upset with myself for getting pregnant and turning our lives upside-down, and times when I've been depressed and feeling terrible. But, more often than not I've been thrilled to have been given this amazing, miraculous opportunity to have a baby, to be a mom, and to have the life I've always wanted with the family I've always dreamed of. It hasn't been easy, and I've run into a lot of obstacles both within and outside of myself, but I wouldn't trade any of this experience for anything else in the world.
This section is where you'll find my personal pregnancy stories and everything about my pregnancy journey. From dealing with a sudden unexpected pregnancy and the fear that it might not last to the emotional roller coaster of adjusting to this whole new and amazing reality.
